Description

In my role as the Handbook Layout Editor, I undertook the creation of the 2020-2021 SSMU (Students' Society of McGill University) Handbook, with the mission to establish a user-centric layout centered around mental health and self-awareness. With this goal in mind, I seamlessly integrated diverse design elements geared toward bolstering student well-being, highlighted by the inclusion of a mood tracker for emotional monitoring. Crafted for ease of use, the layout facilitated intuitive navigation and content access, all while focusing on the theme of Indigenous awareness and recognition for that particular edition. Through mindful design choices, I championed the amplification of Indigenous voices, nurturing understanding and unity within the McGill University community. Ultimately, the overarching objective of the 2020-2021 SSMU Handbook was not only to serve as a practical resource but also to foster an inclusive environment that champions mental well-being and underscores the significance of Indigenous communities.
